The international Master's programme Innate Immunity in Health and Disease leads to a Degree of Master in Medical Sciences and will give you in-depth knowledge in microbiology, cell biology and molecular biology essential for understanding the function of the innate immune system.?
The Master's programme will prepare you for doctoral studies or for work with biomedical issues in the industry or in the healthcare system. The programme is offered in cooperation with national and international research groups.
The programme is concerned with questions in relation to the function of the innate immune system. You will learn more about how the innate immune system detects and eliminates pathogenic microorganisms, infection strategies for different species of virus and bacteria and the cellular and molecular mechanisms behind inflammatory responses.
Career
The programme will prepare students for future PhD doctoral studies. After completing the programme the student has possibilities of finding employment at the pharmaceutical or biotechnical industry, with authorities as well as in the health care system.
