Master of Science [M.S] [Sports Science: Performance Optimisation with a Focus on Elite Sport] From Mid Sweden University

The programme is delivered part-time at an advanced level and focuses on performance analysis, sports physiology, elite training and coaching/leadership in the field of Sports science. The program gives students the opportunity to develop and use their practical and theoretical knowledge to better handle complex situations in sport, including at the elite level. The programme incorporates a number of key components which relate to the complex operations of national and international elite organizations, as well as scientific theory and methods and an independent research project. The theoretical components will be delivered online, but with complimentary on-campus meetings/seminars in ?stersund. The programme is run in collaboration between the Health Science Department (Sports Science programme) and the Swedish Winter Sports Research Centre (SWRC). Furthermore, some aspects of the programme may take place in various facilities, such as the SWRC, ?stersund?s National Ski Stadium and ?re National Arena.
