The Programme

The international programme in Analytical Finance will give you a solid foundation in Mathematics/Applied Mathematics, Economics and in addition knowledge in Business Adminis_tration. The focus of the programme is on using advanced mathematical tools to solve real-life pro_blems. The structure of the programme has been carefully designed to support this approach. Advan_ced financial software and programming langua_ges are used in the teaching.

Analytical Finance is internationally-oriented and is taught entirely in English. It attracts both international and Swedish students. As a student you may take part in the international student exchange programme at M?lardalen University and study at one of our partner universities around the world.

Orientations

The first year offers courses in Mathematics/App_lied Mathematics, Economics and Business Ad_ministration. In the second year, you are free to choose to a specialisation in either Mathematics/ Applied Mathematics or in Economics. In the for_mer case you can choose, during the third year, to specialise further in the area of or Financial Mathe_matics or in the more general area of Mathematics/ Applied Mathematics.

If you finish your education with a Bachelor?s degree in Mathematics/Applied Mathematics you can also acquire a position in business working with information technologies and other fields of engineering. You will also have the opportunity to continue your education by taking the two-year Master's programme in Financial En_gineering or the two-year Master's programme in Engineering Mathematics offered at M?lardalen University, or at another higher education insti_tution or university anywhere in the world.
