The modules are distributed via Internet using the web platform, Ping Pong. Occupational Therapy is a client- centred health profession concerned with promoting health and well-being through everyday activities. The programme will help students expand their knowledge in the field and develop professionally. Since it is a part-time programme, you will be able to work while you study and keep in close contact with your clinical practice. This is an important aspect and students are expected to maintain close contact with clinical practice during the programme.
The programme is quite flexible and the courses can be individually tailored to each student. You may choose to focus broadly on occupational therapy at large, or to narrow your focus to a particular area of interest. The programme begins with a course on theory of science and scientific method, where students also start to develop a plan for the future master thesis (done in the last course of programme).
The courses that follow, focus on occupational therapy theory, health promotion and community development, occupation and health, and evidence-based practice in occupational therapy, respectively. Students are often given the opportunity to choose the focus of their assignments in terms of target audience or are able to formulate their own ?problem? based on interest.
Students in this programme will receive valuable knowledge to critically and systematically integrate theory and evidence in occupational therapy, and to analyse, assess and deal with complex phenomena, issues and situations.
