Required Exams for Admission

IELTS (6)

Course Curriculum

10

  • My course is DDD( DRUG DISCOVERY AND DEVELOPMENT) which is quite interesting and pressure as well with monthly new course and new topics new lectures and by the end exam
  • Positives: courses in program which opens different windows in your real work life to get into a job and also guest lectures from different industries and from different countries.
  • Negative: exams and pass(60%) , one exam have 2 parts we have pass 2 parts

Admission Experience

  • 1.I have applied for 3 universities in total 1. Basel university, Switzerland ,2.vienna university, Austria, 3.Uppsala University, Sweden.
    2. I got admission in 2 universities 1.Basel university, Switzerland, 2.Uppsala University, sweden.
    3. My application is rejected at Vienna university.
    4. Reason for rejection I don't know but I think lack of matching my bachelor's credits to their requirements as each and every university has it's own requirements
  • I chose Uppsala university because it's 100 position in QS world ranking and good ongoing research where as in basel university they mentioned due lack of some of credits in my bachelor's i must took some prerequisites to get into masters but those in german language.
One of ancient universities in Sweden.
  • When it comes to admission process first we have to apply which courses we are interested in and pay admission fee after that they asked me to fill the form mentioning what are subjects I took in my bachelor's and how many credits I got for each subject and convert those credits into european credit system with proper guide lines they mentioned in that form , after 2 months I got admission,  luckily for my course there is no interview for some courses there is an interviews.  And paid my semester fee and applied for visa
  •  I applied for September intake 2024- Application ends by end of January starts in November ( I didn't remember exactly) factors influenced in my admission process is selected course and previous bachelor's course relation and credits of my bachelor's program
  • As I said admission applications ends in end of January and results will be declared  in mid of March and by the following month they sent invoice to pay fee if you are admitted

Class Schedule

10

  • We have almost a classes from Monday to Friday variations in day to day few days have afternoon sessions that too in rare and most of the lectures are compulsory recent course we have few compulsory lectures and also we have zoom lectures
  • I think we are between 55 to 65 I guess
  • There are 5 Indians in my course and in my class a s well

Faculty

10

  • Faculty for a class nearly 60 students. It doesn't matter how it will effect I didn't get the point of faculty-student ratioWhen it comes to workshops and seminars and any lab 1 faculty and 3 to 4 assistants teachers are there to teach us
  • The teaching methods are good with lecture slides and workshops ,presentations and seminars which will give an experience how to work real life
  • In thus university NO we don't have any part times as I think  and faculty doesn't discuss with that . But in summer holidays if we get a chance we can work in faculty research as an assistant if lucky we have to contact them via student mail and surely they will give feedback
  • I like all faculties because all are researchers in their field

Campus Life

10

  • More than 6 campus I know only 6
  • In my campus we have a library and medical services and also we have big big central library in one location
  • My campus is BMC which is completely science we don't have any extra curricular activities in campus but we can go to any events and clubs organised by other campus and also there few international clubs which will organise different events and also there are different nation's ( like clubs) we can go if some one wants to go
  • I don't know any extra curricular activities in my campus but we have ongoing seminars or something like that we can attend and some events in main building we can go there

Part Time Jobs

  • I don't have any idea because after graduation you get to apply as a research assistant.  For teaching assistants I don't know and some limitations for them we need to learn the Swedish language ( not sure) one of my friend ( Swedish guy) he is doing it as a teaching assistant.
  • About pay I am clue less
  • There is no other  on campus jobs in my campus but in other campuses you may found as receptionist like that ( don't know surely and also swedish language required)
  • As we get visa no limit for working hours in sweden
  • I don't know about it . As I said one of my classmate is doing As teaching assistant now he is swedish guy, completed 5 year bachelor's Programme in my campus may that is benefited for him to get that Job
  • If we work in nations they give max 45 SEK per an hour and if you got online food delivery job like zomato they will pay 150 sek per hour apart from that if you found any part times in restaurants they pay as same as 45 SEK per hour and apart from that we don't have any options for work in groceries stores, pharmacies, we have to know swedish language compulsory and there are few jobs in summer in companies and local communities if we gat they pay a good amount

Placement

10

  • If you pass and get all your credits we can eligible for apply jobs event after 1 year course as you get 60 credits and if you get job you can go for it
  • After successfully graduation we can expect a Pay of 30,000 SEK per month for my science programs fir IT and management I don't know
  • Still we are in first year but there is an event in engineering campus called UTNARM where companies promote themselves and we can interact with them and we get more information about them
  • Astragenca, cytiva,Roche and most of all pharmaceutical and biotech companies and also GE healthcare which deals with radiopharmaceuticals

Accommodation

Off Campus
10

  • As fee paying international students there is assured accommodation from university ( not owned by university) which is a bit more expensive.here in sweden housing are handled by different companies and with these companies university has partnership.  The online platform is there for both university as well as accommodation owned companies.
  • There is a website called bostadsförmedling ( where we can apply for accommodation with companies directly without university) it's cheap compared to accommodation given by university. Both accommodation from university and  companies are same the difference is university had partnership with these companies and collecting high rents from international students . Example : my previous accommodation which I took from university is 4931 SEK with room with attached bathroom and wifi , kitchen is share among 12 students. The same accommodation which is 4249SEK is you too from company called heimstaden which is the owner of building and university has partnership with this heimstaden company
  • My current accommodation rent was 3459 sek from room and heating and for broadband I need to pay 324 SEK
  • Not big challenges we can find housing in Sweden as mentioned above
  • I recommend bostadsförmedling website for future students instead of university but the thing is when we took accommodation fro university they will give bed, table and chair and broad band( if applicable) but it's expensive compared to direct contract from companies.
  • From my accommodation to campus it's nearly 20 min walk and also which is near to centrum and all areas. Even Indians are less when compared to USA,UK but their is an area called FLOGSTA where some Indian students live but also in different location

Exams

  • IELTS-6.0 and also they will accept GRE you can see about then in university website in detail
  • All documents related to our previous college including transcripts, degree certificate, LORs at least 3, motivational letter (SOP) stating why this university is best for you
  • For my course there is no interview for other courses there is an interview in admission process

Fees

  • Total tuition fee - 2,90,000 SEK, for hostel it's nearly 3700 SEK ( including room and wifi broadband) when we took housing  via university it's will pretty expensive even though the accommodations are same
  • Fee charged semester wise
  • Monthly expenses- 4000 to 5000 SEK depending on lifestyle if you include transportation it will be nearly 6000 SEK. Buying a bicycle is a good option second hand. But it's difficult to go on bicycle in winter due to snow fall.

Scholarship

  • I didn't receive any scholarships
  • If got scholarship you will get fully funded or one semester fee or aid for your expenses
  • I don't think so most of my friends from India didn't get any scholarship. One guy from Bangladesh got a scholarship which fully funded
  • In figures I don't know but few people will get scholarships in my university any how those people from EUA no need to pay fee
