- It was relevant for my interest and within the scope of my bachelor's.
- Subject experts and access to relevant opportunities during course related to space. The professors are knowledgeable and guest lectures are routinely conducted with experts. The university provides many opportunities for students to perform extracurricular activities and goes above and beyond to help students understand the subject.
Dislikes
- The space studies branch is located in Kiruna well over 5 hours away from Luleå, where the university is located. Kiruna serves as a good place for space research thanks to its proximity to ESRANGE, Estrack and IRF. But owing to its remoteness, students can tend to fell overwhelmed and detached from the main university and its activities and attraction.
Required Exams for Admission
LTU provides a unique student experience that can seem surreal owing to the exotic location where it is established. Students can participate in various activities apart from the regular curriculum and have various avenues to reach out to.
Course Curriculum
The course is good and the curriculum is relevant for the future of the student.
Faculty
The faculty is composed of ex-industry experts with highly experienced staff.
Campus Life
Infrastructure is good. Extracurricular activities are mostly organized by students and can get monotonous.
Placement
Mostly people can get further opportunities with LTU in the form of doctoral studies. startup Companies, governmental organisations and other research institutes are also available for consideration. Students can apply for work throughout the schengen zone.
Accommodation
Had to find own accommodation. University helps for the first year of the studies though.
Exams
IELTS is the only requirement. I achieved a score of 7.2/10 in IELTS and 320 in GRE. Though other universities also ask for GRE. SOP and LOR are important. Note to identify your strengths and put emphasis on them. Also important to answer why are you applying to the specific university and course.
