Firstly, the world ranking mattered a lot. The weather, culture, study format were all a bit different and special. These were some of the factors that drove me to take up the offer.
Course Curriculum
At LiU one can select from a wide range of major's. And all the major includes many courses which are really appropriate to have knowledge of and also futuristic when it comes to using it in professional career.
Faculty
The faculty at LiU are very friendly, helpful and goal oriented. Keep your faith in them and mone on.
Campus Life
Going abroad to study is a dream for many, likewise my dream came in to reality and I was amazed by the campus life and infrastructure- It was totally different from what I was used to seeing throughout my life. A huge campus (no skyscrapers as shown in the movies), very neatly organised, graffities here and there, state of the art international House and library, coffee shops, student pubs, and what not. Most of the weekends are spent in groups doing something or the other, most of which can be termed as extracurricular for many of us.
Placement
The job prospect is very good for my course. It might vary depending on various instances; the recent example I can give is the pandemic which had everyone suffer a lot. These things does matter for the placements.
Accommodation
The accommodation can be a bit of hassle if you aren't aware that the university doesn't provide any facilities as such. There are some rental organisations which are helping international students to get the accommodation. There are many student areas around the university and things are much more interesting than at the university because most of the student areas in Sweden is termed as a corridor, you will have many wonderful moments created there all the way from cooking together to end up being friends for life. A dream come true scenario.
Exams
Proof of English as a medium of teaching, Statement of purpose, Letter of recommendations.
Fees
The total tuition fee for my course was 2,52,000 SEK (Swedish kronor). 1SEK is approximately 8INR (Indian Rupees).
Scholarship
I wasn't eligible for scholarships due to a small mistake caused by a consultancy.
