The National University of Singapore admits international students primarily for the August intake, which serves as the main intake for most undergraduate and graduate programs. A limited number of graduate programs may also offer a January intake, depending on the faculty and course structure. Admissions generally open between November and February for the August intake.
For the 2026 admission cycle, the key application timelines are as follows:
- Undergraduate Programs (August Intake): Application deadline: 23 February 2026
- Graduate Programs: Deadlines are course-specific and vary by faculty
Undergraduate applicants must apply through the NUS Applicant Portal, while postgraduate candidates are required to submit their applications via the Graduate Admission System.
In terms of eligibility, undergraduate applicants are expected to have strong senior secondary examination results, particularly in relevant subjects. Graduate applicants must hold a recognised bachelor’s degree in a relevant discipline. English language proficiency is mandatory for international students and can be demonstrated through tests such as TOEFL, IELTS, or PTE, depending on program requirements.
Applicants are required to submit supporting documents, including academic transcripts, a passport copy, a statement of purpose, letters of recommendation, a CV (for graduate programs), and standardised test scores such as GMAT or GRE, where applicable. Community replies explained that NUSC is a special program within NUS, and rejection from it does not mean rejection from the main university offer.

The admission process wasn't too difficult as they did not require any extra professional exams. The admission was purely based on 12th board results.

I felt that graduating from here would make me well-moulded to take on real-world challenges.
