The Government of Moldova grants scholarships based on merit and potential financial aid which is renewed monthly for a maximum of three-years. The Moldova Scholarships amounts range from 285 MDL (1,319 INR) to 655 MDL (3031 INR) depending on the State’s determined budget for the particular academic session. The faculty members of the universities select the eligible candidates, and the high achievers get preference in this process. The Wells Mountain Initiative provides opportunities to study in developing countries like Moldova and includes additional costs for textbooks, accommodation, and meals for undergraduate students. The scholarship amount ranges from 5396 MDL (24,873 INR) to 53963 MDL (2.48 INR lakhs) per annum.

Application Process

To avail the Moldova Scholarships, the candidates must meet the specific entry requirements before applying. Funding provided by the Government is not confined to the online application process and the selection is done by the faculty members. Here is an overview for the Wells Mountain Initiative Scholarship:

  • Create an account using the online portal.
  • Upload the necessary documents with letters of recommendation.
  • The process is free of cost.
  • The applicants can apply for the scholarship before receiving acceptance from the universities.
  • The applicants can also mail the application to the Wells Mountain Initiative office within the stipulated time.
  • Allowances will be transferred after getting admitted to the universities.

The application process for the Fulbright Foreign Student Program is conducted by the U.S. embassies. The applicants must contact the embassy in their country for assistance.

The American Council Scholarship (Future Leaders Exchange -FLEX) requires the applicants to appear for an Online language proficiency test after the verification of their essays. The admission committee will hold interviews and conduct another language and essay writing test.

Boren Scholarships received 202 graduate and 538 undergraduate applications in 2023, encouraging students to pursue STEM, law, and business while providing language training sessions. Over 30,000 students from secondary high school have benefited from the Fulbright Scholarships sponsored by the Government of the United States. The recipient of the FLEX scholarship participated in community service and learned about the host countries' culture.
