Many top universities in Turkey such as Koc University, Kadir Has University, Hacettepe University, and Abdullah Gul University offer a wide range of courses which are eligible for Turkiye Burslari Scholarships. The Republic of Tukiye Ministry of Culture and Tourism Presidency for Turks Abroad providing the scholarship bears the tuition fees, transportation, accommodation, and health insurance expenses for four to six years.

Turkiye Burslari Scholarships: UG Eligibility Criteria
Students interested in pursuing undergraduate courses must fulfill the eligibility criteria for the Türkiye Burslari Scholarships. Here are the common requirements for the government-funded scholarship:

Turkiye Burslari Scholarships: PG Eligibility Criteria
Türkiye Burslari Scholarships provides full-time and joint scholarships to postgraduate students who meet the following entry requirements. Here is a list of credentials required to get the benefits of the scholarship:

- A minimum of 75% in the Bachelor’s degree (90% if applying for health sciences)
- Applicant must be 30 years of age
- Applicants must appear for C1 Level after one year of the Turkish Language Training Program.

Application Process
The applicants can apply for the scholarships using the online application forms. Interested candidates must apply before 10th January – 20th February 2024. All applicants must verify the documents before the deadline and contact the nearest Turkiye Embassy after receiving the offer letter. Below are steps that scholarships seeking candidates must follow:
- Register yourself on the official Turkey Government Scholarship website.
- Select your preferred courses and colleges based on the eligibility criteria.
- Submit the necessary documents carefully (letter of recommendation, transcripts, certificates, personal statement, statement of purpose).
- The applicants will receive a letter of acceptance on their registered emails.
- Applicants can send their queries to info@turkiyeburslari.gov.tr.
Selection Process
Applicants are granted the scholarship based on merit and additional analysis by the admission committee based on the scores secured in the aptitude test and interview session. The admission committee will consider the following:
- The applicants get shortlisted based on their academic history, letter of recommendation, statement of purpose, and achievements in extracurricular activities.
- The applicants appear for a test based on mathematics, reasoning, and the English language. Here is a sample test.
- The applicants will have an interview with the selection committee after getting sufficient marks on the test for 15 to 20 minutes.
- The applicants will be selected based on their documents and performance in the interview.
Over 1.65 L students from 171 countries apply for the Türkiye Burslari Scholarships, and 5% are received from the Asian-Pacific countries. The scholarships prefer students with adjustment to the Turkish teaching methods, lifestyle in the country, and research abilities. It prepares the students to adapt to their new journey in Turkey with one year of Turkish language training. Almost 56%-65% of undergraduate students apply for the scholarship, with the most applicants for STEM programs. The students can look for internships and placements in Turkey during and after the course. The scholarship allows the students to achieve academic excellence without financial burden. The candidates get assistance for resettlement, visa procedures, study permits, and traveling to Turkey.
