The Malaysia Government Scholarship is a fully financed Award available for international students. All international students planning to study in Malaysia at undergraduate level programs are eligible for this scholarship. The Malaysian Government Scholarship has a duration of 12- to 24 months. More than 34,500 international students from 144 countries have received this scholarship till now. All expenses will be covered by the Malaysian Scholarship for the whole term of the program. 

With the Malaysia International Scholarship 2024, a variety of colleges are providing programs for overseas applicants to select in their academic careers. The Malaysian Government Scholarships are open to applicants from qualified nations for the Master's Degree program. Eligibility Criteria

Candidates who wish to avail fully funded Malaysia international scholarship must meet the following requirements:

  • The applicant must be an international student.
  • Only scholars from international countries or students from countries to which this scholarship is relevant will be eligible for this award. 
  • Pg applicants must not be older than 40 years of age.
  • Upper second-class degree with 3.0/4.0 GPA in bachelor's.
  • Offer letter from a University in Malaysia.
  • Health certificate 
  • Enrolled full-time in a Malaysian university's PG program.
  • During the award of the scholarship, the student’s course of study should not be changed. 
  • The visa application fee must be paid by the applicant.

Documents Required:

The following paperwork, in the form of a pdf scan, is required of applicants.

  • Educational transcripts 
  • Letter of acceptance from a Malaysian university, if applicable
  • Two letters of recommendation
  • Language proficiency certificate 
  • Resume or cover letter 
  • A passport photocopy
  • Medical examination form
  • Signature from the MTCP Scholarship 
  • Other supporting documents (if any)

Application Process

There are two scholarships offered by the Malaysian Government namely Malaysia International Scholarship and the Malaysian Technical Cooperation Programme. International students may apply for either of these scholarships. To apply for Malaysia Government Scholarships, the international candidates must follow the below application steps:

  • Review Requirements before applying
  • Check the application dates. 
  • Click on the "MIS Online Application System" or MTCP Online Application 
  • Fill the mentioned details and login. 
  • Now a screen with the program will display, requiring you to input your information and upload the necessary files, including:
    • Name
    • Email address
    • Call-in number
    • Informational text
    • Curriculum vitae, etc.
  • Click the submit button to send it out once you've completed the form completely.

Selection Process

When evaluating applications, the following selection criteria will be taken into consideration for Malaysia International Scholarship:

  • Great academic performance.
  • The feasibility of the research endeavor and its capacity to advance technology and advance human well-being.
  • Excellent communication, writing, and reading skills in English.

The Malaysia government scholarship program offers foreign students financial support to pursue their educational objectives.
