Erasmus Mundus Scholarships
Erasmus Mundus Scholarships are a fully-funded scholarship program sponsored by the European Commission. International students from any country across the world may apply for this scholarship if they wish to study in a European University. Regarded as the most prestigious scholarship program in Europe, the Erasmus Mundus Scholarships program provides an opportunity for the winners to study a master’s or doctoral degree in a European University. The selected students will be able to study in 3 to 4 European countries and will also get a chance to pursue an internship during their studies.

Eligibility Criteria
International students planning to avail Erasmus Mundus Scholarships must demonstrate their proficiency in English by taking either IELTS or the TOEFL exam. Some other English tests such as Duolingo, PTE, CanTest, etc are also acceptable.
Apart from this, all students must fulfill the below mentioned eligibility criteria to be eligible for Erasmus Mundus Scholarship 2025:
- Previous qualification and their transcripts
- A score of 6.5 in IELTS or other equivalent test
- GMAT/GRE not required
- Applicant must have completed 16 years of education
- Student with low GPA are also eligible for scholarship
- A letter of motivation (800 words)
- 2 letters of recommendation
- Residency certificate
- Essay of study plan or research project
Application Process
The upcoming application deadline to apply for Erasmus Mundus Scholarships 2025-26 is marked on January 1, 2026 in most European universities. To apply for Erasmus Mundus Scholarships 2025, international students must follow the following below mentioned application steps:
- Visit the official portal of Erasmus Mundus Scholarship and click on open scholarship.
- Check the Erasmus link which contains eligibility courses for the scholarship.
- Review the eligibility requirements for your preferred course of study in Europe.
- You can apply to up to 3 Erasmus scholarship programs. If you are rejected in any one of these, then you can submit another application.
Selection Process
According to the selection policy of Erasmus Mundus Scholarships, only three candidates are selected from each country. If there is another high achieving candidate from those countries, then he will be placed on the reserved list, if the selected candidate withdraws from the same country. For equally qualified applicants, the preference will be given to under-represented gender.
An email will be sent to all applicants regarding their selection for scholarships program along with their admissions to the university. The Erasmus Mundus Scholarships is awarded to 22 eligible candidates every year. Applicants who wish to claim their selection for the scholarships program must reach the consortium at info@maeh-mundus.eu within two weeks of selection results being announced.
