Brief summary of MNIT

The courses in curriculum are upto the mark and they keep getting better with time. For example there is an A.I course added in third year of Chemical Engineering to keep students upto date with the rapid changing world. The MidSem exams ends up in a week as they take 2 exams in single day and for End Semester exams takes 2 weeks because they take exam every day without any leaves(except Sunday).

Various internship drives are hosted by college time to time. But projects play a vital role in grabbing these internships as you are competing with great minds. It is better if you have made good amount of sensible projects by the end of 2nd or 3rd year.

The placements are good enough as many good companies visit the campus. But in year 2024 it was a rollercoaster ride as even IITs are facing troubles in placements. Last year the Chemical Engineering department had 100% placement with highest package of 40lpa.

Fee structure is set as per the reservation criteria. But it is a bit of a headache for GenEWS students as the fee remission takes months to get credited in your bank account. If you are well in studies there are various scholarships offered by the alumni association. But they are a bit hard to grab.

There are various kinds of students by whom you can get inspired and get motivated towards your goal. Many clubs are there in our college from both social and technical aspects. You can meet people of your interests in these groups and learn from them.

For admission you should have a decent score in JEE Mains. After that you should follow the guidelines of JOSAA. The exams in our institute contains a good level of questions some of them can be hard depending on professor setting the paper.

For every 2 batches in first year, there is one professor for that batch. Also, the qualifications of those professor cannot be questioned. Some of them holds more than one PhD. Every professors interects with students in their own way, some may form a whatsapp or google classroom group and most interect through CR.
