Course Curriculum Overview
The college provides Various courses in the medical field. I am in MBBS. The faculty members are really great doctors whose teaching experience of>20 years In every class, projectors, and smart boards are available One can do hands-on dissection for the first year which is a very daunting task. There are four exams in a year, out of which the final exams are the toughest But if one attends class regularly he/she can easily pass The only change the college can have is the revision classes which were not there in the last exam time.
Internships Opportunities
The internship is provided in the hospital in which one can learn many things as the outdoor patient flow is very large One can see patients with pneumonia to acrodermatitis enteropathy Various projects lined up with IFRA and IFCO continue in the contract.
Loan/ Scholarship Provisions
For the government seat, the fees are nominal compared to other colleges which cost around 20 lacs per year The scholarship program is available for caste-specific, scholars, army personnel etc. The internship is provided in the hospital itself and a stipend of 20k per month is given. The fees will be same for 4 years,no hike in between. Study cost estimation to 30 lacs but it is worth if one not interested to give the entrance exam again.
Campus Life
The college itself organises a fest in which many other colleges of Ahmedabad participate The library is huge and accommodates nearly more than 1000 books. Classrooms are fully air-conditioned, smart labs, and practical classes really great. There is a ground for a 400 m race, Olympic size swimming pool, fuss ball, etc The college runs an NGO in which students from backward societies are taught for free.
Admission
Admission to the Medical College is through NEET (NATIONAL ELIGIBILITY CUM ENTRANCE TEST). Students who qualified the exam can apply for admission through counselling Admission will be on the basis of merit Generally, the cut-off is near 500 for General Government seat If students belong to any caste specific then cut off is low near 350 The admissions are open after the exam For the private seat, one can apply on the website directly
