Remarks

The College is located near the Vellayani lake and is quite a natural beauty. The social life is quite busy and requires cooperation and hard work for completion of projects, assignments and presentation. Life will be busy once you enter here and you won't face boredom from not working.

Course Curriculum Overview

4.5

The course curriculum is quite exhaustive as the number of credits in any semester is not less than 23 which causes the students at the end quite fatigued and frustrated. But the knowledge and time management skills one gathers is also commendable. Practical labs are both chilling and frustrating depending on the interest and subject matter. The exam pattern here is mid exams then practicals followed by finals. There is no gaps during successive exams in mid and practicals.Only during finals such privelege is given.Assignments, records, presentation need to be submitted before the deadline.Overall the diverse curriculum doesn't keeps one uninterested for a long time.

Placement Experience

3

Internship occurs during the final year where students are told to prepare different products, projects and develop skill requires to thrive in the professional and coperate world.Various departments offer internship and based on the availability of seats and students performance before the final year they are allowed to choose their most favorite courses.Internship money varies from 5500-20000? for a semester.Rural and agricultural work experience (RAWE)is also an internship type program neccessary to be attended and students get around 40,000? after completion of that course.

College Events

4.5

Inter class, inter collegiate and inter university programs occur annually and based on the best performance selection is made and they are represented in the name of respective classes,College or university respectively. Inter College art fest brings around 2000 -3500 students at a time. All the students form a committe for the smooth functioning of the program. Teams show outstanding unity, compassion and strength while participation?. It's a neck to neck competition but ultimately everyone is good on the next day.

Fee Structure And Facilities

Its feasible around 9500? per semester and miscellaneous amount of 2000-3000? for materials like records and herbarium.Initially the fees will be higher by around 2000-3000? owing to registration charges and other formalities but later it will be uniform.Khakhi uniform and lab coat are a must during practicals.

Loan/ Scholarship Provisions

Students coming from ICAR quota get 3000? per month scholarship if they get admission in the state university away from his domicile state.Loan facility is available in terms of Parent teacher association which is like a cooperative society here. The principle and interest have to be paid by the bearer.

Campus Life

4

The College has an excellent national level indoor stadium constructed at 2015 during National level games.Sports like basketball and badminton can be played.Intercollegiate arts fest and sports occur annually here. The gender ratio is skewed as girls constitute around 70% of the batch in UG classes. The College has a SFI student party and they are run by the students of the College themselves. The cultural diversity in terms of students coming from other states is on the lower side but trends are changing.People from states like AP,UP,Bihar,Orissa,Mizoram,Arunachal Pradesh,MP,Rajasthan are present.Food for vegetarian can be troublesome as not much variety is present.National seminars occur in the campus for poster presentation and oral presentation in various departments of the College.

Hostel Facilities

3.5

4 students per room.It is better to take hostel in the College itself otherwise its quite a trouble to look for pg room.Hostel room are sufficient to accomodate the coming flow of students. The hostel rooms are a bit small and compromise needs to be made.Pg rooms are not available in the vicinity of the campus at an affordable rate.

Alumni/Alumna

Yes they are helpful in many ways as they suggest as what to read and study, how the lifestyle should be and moral policing is also there in the initial years as first year juniors.Gradually everything falls into place once you understand the trend and pattern of life and social skills.

Admission

I got admission through ICAR entrance exam held annually. For local students NEET state merit list is prepared and according to reservation and seats the seats are distributed.Bsc agriculture is a unique course as it is a holistic approach in which subjects related to science, sociology, economics are dealt with.Agriculture is an art, science and buisness to say the least.

Faculty

4

The faculty members are well qualified and teachers are present in approved strength to carry out education and research purposes in the institute. There is a rotation system and teachers are shuffled every year for the same course in various departments.Teachers have the Phd degree along with required standard prescribed by UGC guidelines.
