The??Science programme is offered by the Massey University.
Leaders and influential thinkers around the world see the training, nurturing and appointment of well-qualified scientists and technologists as instrumental for positive growth and development. Studying science will put you in sync with this thinking, and set you up for an exciting and prosperous future.
A flexible programme of study
Massey?۪s Bachelor of Science (BSc) gives you flexibility and freedom of choice. You can select from a wide variety of majors and minors, complete a double major, or complete a double degree over a longer period of time, by combining your BSc with a Bachelor of Arts or a Bachelor of Business Studies.
Learn from the best
You?۪ll learn from some of the top science researchers and teachers in the world, and get to learn about, and use, some of the best facilities in New Zealand. You?۪ll gain a broad scientific education while also being able to study one or more specialist areas in depth (the majors).
Wide range of majors
The Bachelor of Science offers you a wide range of majors, from zoology to statistics, chemistry to marine ecology and many more - see the links below. With the right choices of first year courses, you can keep open a selection of majors to choose from for second-year study. As part of your studies you will also learn the communication and quantitative skills that are important for many careers.
These are skills that employers are looking for across a wide range of industries and science-related organisations.
Postgraduate Study - fast track or take your time
Top graduates can proceed to a one-year Bachelor of Science with Honours BSc(Hons)) and from that directly into a PhD programme. We also have a fast-track BSc/BSC(Hons) pathway for excellent students that could see you starting a PhD after just three years at Massey!
Alternatively you can study a Postgraduate Diploma in Science (PGDipSc) or our Master of Science, or go job hunting with your world-recognised BSc. Many of our subject areas provide opportunities for postgraduate study while in work, so you can start earning and keep on becoming more qualified.
