What Students Say
Likes
- Honestly, the college is great.
Dislikes
- But the amount of jobs in the area is less, so until you have enough money to survive for the duration of the course don't come to Sarnia.
Since it had a 2-year program in business management I chose this college. It is not multicultural at all. Just try to come here for your master's or doctorate, if you want to settle in Canada.
Course Curriculum
Business courses are no good until it is a specialization in a particular field of BM. For the amount they charge you, the academics are very basic and are aced with minimum effort.
Faculty
Professor Suzan Daughty is probably the best professor on campus. She taught us Human resources and made the class very interactive. Other than her the other professors make less effort, but there are a few professors who really love to teach.
Campus Life
There are no clubs like in Indian colleges, very few extracurricular activities as well. There are sports clubs, but there is nothing such as music, theater or dance clubs in our college. There are enough sports. My experience on this is of an international student and may be wary of the experience of a local student.
Placement
There are a few research opportunities within the college, but you need to score exceptionally well for that, other than that there are virtually no placements upon completion of your course.
Accommodation
You can find accommodation for $450-$600 a month there are more expensive ones but usually, people contribute and rent a 3-4 BHK house. You can find places cheaper than 400 bucks but those places are infested with junkies.
Exams
- IELTS 7 overall - CBSE- 57% (10th); CBSE- 84% (12th); GGSIPU- 77% (B.A.) - Requirements: There have been no interviews up to the point where I had to apply for my visa. Not sure if they conduct interviews now. There is an SOP you are supposed to write along with your CV. And do not forget to add your work experience in your SOP, it will be very helpful in the future.
Fees
$17,500 CAD
