Master of Science [M.S] [Molecular Life Sciences] From Radboud University

You?ll get hands-on experience in the laboratory or with computer modelling, depending on the specialisation of your choice. What unites all specialisations is the starting point: exploring the basic principles of molecules and cells. From there, you cross over to finding clinically applicable solutions.

The Master?s in the focuses on a deeper molecular understanding of health and disease; in the fields of biology, chemistry and medical science. This is embedded in the internship opportunities as well; the Faculty of Science works in close collaboration with, for instance,?Radboud university medical center(Radboudumc), the?Radboud Institute for Molecular Life sciences?(RIMLS) and the?Donders Institute for Brain, Cognition and Behaviour.

All seven specialisations of Molecular Life Sciences are closely associated with chemistry and medical biology. Within each specialisation you will have plenty of room to customise your programme. A large part involves internships; the best way to develop your knowledge and skills and to prepare yourself for your future career. You can get trained in research in order to become a PhD student, or focus on societal, policy and business issues and solutions.

Career prospects

This programme provides you with the qualifications you need to start working on your PhD or in the field of communication, business and management or education. Molecular life scientists often continue their research careers at universities, research institutes, pharmaceutical and biotechnological companies or public health authorities. Alternatively, our students quickly take up communication, management or educational positions in government departments, research organisations and medical, pharmaceutical or biotechnological companies.
