What Students Say?
Likes
- The campus and student life in my university is great and the cost of living is better in limerick comparing to the capital city Dublin.
My overall experience was great because this is the first time I came out from my home town and had to lead an independent life. If you are confident about yourself and have some patience in everything, you'll have a great life here regardless of the University you're choosing.
Course Curriculum
The courses are good and up to date. Mostly you won't be having exams and the marks will be given based on your projects.
Exams
The minimum requirement in my university is to score 6.5 in IELTS. There are other options as well like TOEFEL, but I'm not sure about them. Yes, I will suggest you to take a reference of Sop and LOR of the other students from internet. Which will give you an overall idea of how to present them.
Placement
You'll have lot of opportunities as a software engineer in Ireland. But you have to find the job on your own. There is no such thing like on-campus placements in UL. The pay will start from 32,000 Euros/annum and you'll be getting paid based on your experience.
Fees
At the time I joined, the fee was around 15,000 euros/year. My master's was a one year program.
Scholarship
I received a scholarship of 4000 euros from my university. It's because I have my grades/marks which is above 75% in my UG.
Faculty
As I came for master's straight after my UG. It felt a little different to be in a class of students who already have work experience. So, the faculty won't be spoon feed us which doesn't create any impact on me.
Campus Life
If you're looking for a great campus life, I'll say that UL is one of the best in campus life.
Hostel
Currently Ireland is facing some housing crises. I will advice you to get an on-campus accommodation which will be around 500-700 euros / month including bills.
