Likes
- Well-equipped laboratory.
- Very helpful and experienced mentors.
- Lot of options for sports and because of the lower population of students, the facilities are mostly empty and you can do whatever you want.
Dislikes
- Pretty expensive and small portion sizes for food in the campus canteen.
- On-campus accommodation is also very expensive and usually has very small rooms.
- HR and management need more attention; as paperwork takes ages to complete and usually has errors if not checked properly.
Course Curriculum
As PhD students, there was no straightforward course or syllabus to follow but we get plenty of Industrial and field exposure during our work.
Fees
PhD positions in Germany are almost always fully funded by the government or private funding. It usually is high enough to cover the tuition fees of the university as well as pay out a monthly stipend for the student's sustenance.

- I like the campus and the professors. The campus is great and natural. Professors were always supportive and highly qualified.

The course syllabus is updated and relevant. Gave us industrial exposure and research experience.

- The events and the parties held in the college bar. This college hosts amazing parties and offers a chance for people to meet each other by hosting events evey Friday with free drinks only for students.
Dislikes
- Nothing much to dislike here. Just the food quality is a bit low but it is still manageable and also there is a kitchen where you can cooke your own food.
Course Curriculum
The course is quite updated according to current research globally. A lot of research experience is provided which is very useful for future prospects. The lab exposure is highly advanced and practical starting from basics.

Approx. 20,000€/year for tuition.
Likes
- I love the international study environment. I think that's the best thing about this university. I also like the clubs at the university because it allows the students to bond outside of the classroom.
Dislikes
- I think one thing I dislike about the university is the high costs of living. The food at the cafeteria is expensive. The options are also limited. Other than that, the administration can be slow at times.
Course Curriculum
The course and curriculum are excellently curated. There are a lot of opportunities for research through extra laboratory courses or internships and even thesis work.

28,500 euros from 2021 to 2024 for tuition, room and board. It may have changed for this year.

- Campus and teaching faculties.
- Infrastructure of the university.
- Social life and many educational activities. Met many international students.
Dislikes
- "The University was far away from my residence. The fees of the university are very high. Sometimes classes used to run very late in the evening. So, it was bit difficult to manage the campus timings "

It was very good. Yes we had a Industry visit. Regular feedback form professors helped a lot.

Likes
- Extra-curricular activities offered and the open spaces on campus.
- Also, the huge library and TOS. (The Other Side- Campus Bar).
- The International environment is something I really like because of the networking opportunities.
Dislikes
- The food offered in the servery is sub-par, especially because I'm a vegetarian and the vegan options offered are not that great in my opinion. I'm also not a fan of the high tuition fees they charge.
Course Curriculum
The courses are all very theoretical. This should change in the coming years as we will have access to a machine shop which is only just being coordinated.

Tuition Fee: 20,000 euros a year for any course. But you also get a scholarship on top of that.
Likes
- As I mentioned before, I liked the environment the most. Yes, Bremen is a small town, and it lacks the vibrant feel of a big city. But the Jacobs ecosystem is so international that you never feel left out.
Dislikes
- The only cons are rising tuition fees and living costs in Germany. I believe that with more scholarship options and industry collaborations, students will be able to have an affordable tuition fee.
- Also, housing facilities should be included for post-graduate and doctoral students to ensure that they don't face hurdles while living in Bremen.
Course Curriculum
The course curriculum was very updated and included practical experiences. Of course, as a PhD student, I was only focused on my research; however, there were collaborations among groups to improve the quality of research, additional classes to learn German, part time work opportunity as exam proctors and financial support from the project to attend international conferences.
Fees
Tuition fee: For PhD students, it was only about 250 euros per semester, which included the free travel pass across Bremen and its surroundings.
