Course Curriculum

8

  • The courses were designed in close collaboration with the practical part. What I was learning in theory, I was also applying in the lab.
  • Per day, there used to be two lectures, with lab courses sandwiched between them.
  • The average number of students in my batch was quite high, around 18. But now it has reduced.

Admission Experience

  • I really liked the structure of the course. It aligned with my future goals. Overall, the experience was good because I learnt a lot, and I also had classmates with whom I built a good rapport.
  • I did not have to take the GRE. I took the IELTS exam because English proficiency was a requirement for the course. I scored 8.5. The requirement was 6/6.5, I think.

Faculty

10

  • Faculty are well-versed. They are experienced people working with different organizations outside of the university. They have people working under them. The faculty-to-student ratio is 1:6. A few professors are very approachable and helpful.

Campus Life

2

  • None really. You mostly hang out with your classmates. The only place you can socialize is at Mensa, which is the canteen where other students also have lunch. However, aside from that, dorm life is great. You can make many friends there.
  • Extracurricular activities offer a few options, not many. You can arrange some yourself.
  • There's a gym, as well as a sports club where you can participate in various sports. There's also a library, a large one.

Part Time Jobs

  • Many students hold part-time or a mini-job. If you're lucky, you can secure opportunities at the university; otherwise, you can take on odd jobs, such as working at grocery stores or restaurants.
  • However, part-time job opportunities are limited. It is better to look elsewhere (if you're willing to travel).

Placement

2

  • So there are no placements available after graduation. You have to look for yourself. Mostly through online portals. The average salary depends on your course and experience, for sure.

Accommodation

Off Campus
10

  • Rent was low, and I was living in the student dorm. After I got admission to the university, I applied immediately to the student dorm through their website.
  • Monthly rent was within 250 euros, depending on the size of your room. All facilities were included, for example, Internet, laundry, etc. The kitchen also comes with the room.

Exams

  • IELTS was enough at my time. But yes CV, motivation letter, LORs are important as well.

Fees

  • As a German public university, there are no tuition fees—only a minimal administrative fee (check the website for updated details).
