What Students Say
Likes
- I choose this university because of its structure it is 1 year of study and 1 year of practical education related to your studies, the second thing was it’s renowned because of the faculty
- You get to know German traditions and enjoy some nice cultural diversity , learning with real life examples of the market and business which are so precisely built.
Dislikes
- The only thing was it is located in small city, getting part time jobs during the studies is difficult but it is not that necessary as you are there only for 1 year.
Required Exams for Admission
It was worth while during corona time to experience German culture and learn their traditions, studies are always easy if you get nice friends that's what I believe after my time at Hof.
Course Curriculum
The course curriculum is good and everyone can get brief overview about the industries in which they can enter, mostly you learn from industry experts which gives you real life examples of what happens in the industry.
Faculty
During my study it was 40 students in a class, also one of the professor which I personally liked were teaching communication and negotiation which is really necessary in supply chain domain. Other technical subjects were more focused on books with real life examples and also some assignments required group solutions.
Campus Life
Actually the year or the month in which I landed, Corona started so everything was closed but still we enjoyed first few week in which we experienced life in Hof. It is really cool as you meet lot of native Germans due to which our language development is faster other than that campus was little far away from the place I used to live but it was fully equipped in all the senses, computers, wifi and printing stuff as well all playing equipment's were easily available, also Canteen(Mensa) was good and affordable.
Placement
As practical education is included, most of the students enrolled in my course didn't face any difficulties for getting job, it was much more easy as they already made contacts during their practicalship and on average the salary would be around 50k euros for freshers with no experience or with 1-3 years of work experience and it gradually increases based on government rules.
Accommodation
Accommodation was very easily accessible as you mail the faculty responsible for accommodation and you receive the place, you can also change if you don't like but the rooms are really nice everywhere in the city.
Exams
My IELTS score was 8.5 overall and German B1 is required for admission as it is a management course. In your CV, it is mandatory that you have previous work experience of at least 1 year as its a management program. LOR is also required from both work place and your college. In your Sop I included what was related to the study and my work and I also stated what subjects I studied before which are related to further studies. Interview Round: Yes one round, its basic test in which they ask why you want this particular university and How you got to know about us as its more preferred by people with work experience more than 5-6 years because the faculty are more industry experts.
Fees
Fees per semester is 3200 so in total its around 12800 Euros but as in 2nd year you move out of the city your living costs may differ based on the city in which you get your internship.
