- The candidate holds a bachelor's degree in mining or materials and metallurgy, or a diploma deemed equivalent.
- The candidate has obtained an average of progress in the program or graduation equal to or greater than 2.67 out of 4.33, or the equivalent, at the undergraduate level.
- Applicants with an undergraduate degree in a related science and engineering field are also eligible under the same criteria
