The DESS trains financial professionals specialized in the use of financial derivative instruments. By studying new stocks in the current markets, including climate derivatives, energy derivatives, credit derivatives, real options, and structured products, the group is developing financial strategies that optimize portfolio management and cash management.


Eligibility & Entry Requirement

  • The candidate must hold a bachelor's degree or the equivalent in business administration or in a discipline where consulting activity constitutes a recognized outlet, obtained with a cumulative average of at least 3.2 out of 4.3 or equivalent, have management knowledge, to be supplemented if necessary by courses in a certificate in administration.
  • Students should have a minimum of two years' work experience acquired either through an internal adviser or consultant role for a firm or through the exercise of responsibilities as a resource manager.
  • In addition, the candidate must meet the following criteria: have an adequate command of the French (oral and written) and English languages.
  • In addition to the documents required by the Registrar's Office, any application for admission to the program must include a letter of intent written by the candidate; the relevant job certificates, mentioning the title, description and duration of each job; the candidate's curriculum vitae.
