Academic Qualification

• Academic Background: 
  • Completion of a Bachelor of Commerce (BCom) or Bachelor of Business Administration (BBA) within the last 10 years.
  • Graduates of McMaster University’s BEng Management or BTech programs are also eligible.
• GPA Requirement:
  • Recommended B average 75% (McMaster 8.0 GPA out of 12 or higher) or equivalent.
  • GPA will be calculated using the two most recent years of undergraduate or graduate study (20 courses or equivalent 60 credits).
  • BTech students must complete these two courses with a minimum B grade before applying:
    • COMMERCE 2AB3 – Managerial Accounting.
    • COMMERCE 2FB3 – Managerial Finance.
• Work Experience:
  • Two years of post-graduate work experience required.
  • McMaster’s BCom, IBH, BEng Management, or BTech graduates need a minimum of 1 year of work experience.
  • Undergraduate co-op or internships adding up to 12 months of work can be considered if noted on official transcripts.
• GMAT:
  • GRE or GMAT not required for admission.
  • GMAT/GRE may be submitted if the candidate fails to meet the GPA criteria or wishes to strengthen their application.
