- McMaster University offers a Bachelor of Music for a duration of 3 years
- It is an on-campus program offered on a full-time basis.
- The Music program gives students a thorough grounding in the four fundamental areas of music instruction – theory, general musicianship, history, and performance.
- Students have to successfully complete 90 units total (Levels I to III), of which 45 units may be Level I.
- The student-faculty ratio of the program is 15:1. The program also emphasizes learning outside the classroom.
- The Music Cognition program provides music students the opportunity to explore exciting new research into how music is perceived in the brain and how it intersects with other aspects of intellectual development.
