- The university, is fairly new, and in steady development. Since it's tech university it extensively laid out its equipment for any courses. And especially for Software Engineering they provide an amazing program.
My overall experience at Ontario Tech University has been incredibly fulfilling and transformative. The diverse range of courses, knowledgeable faculty, and supportive community have enriched my learning journey. Engaging in extracurricular activities, participating in events, and forming lifelong friendships have made my time here truly memorable. I feel fortunate to be part of such an inclusive and inspiring educational environment. I would've regretted so much if i knew this is what I would he missing if I didn't come here.
Course Curriculum
The curriculum at Ontario Tech University is designed to provide students with a strong theoretical foundation as well as practical skills relevant to their chosen fields. The university emphasizes experiential learning, research opportunities, and industry collaborations to ensure that students gain real-world experience and are well-prepared for their careers.
Exams
In IELTS 7.5 - 8 in speaking, 7.5 in reading. 8.5 in listening 6 in writing , Highschool Grade I got 75%. I didn't have to write any other test to enter this college. Only these 2 were the requirements. In your SOP must include the fact that you're not here getting PR or Citizenship. Just to study and then go back.
Placement
I don't know yet. I'm still fairly new to this. But I've done a few research to this. If you want an official help from the university. One must go through a co op course provided by the university. The course is going to take throughout one semester. It isn't hard, just focuses on how to apply for a co op, how to make your resume look professional etc etc. And once that's done, the university itself will help you get a co op
Fees
Per year it's around 35,000 CAD. As the years go by the fees reduce by a few thousand dollars.
Scholarship
I got a 3000$ dollar scholarship for getting 84% in Highschool.
Faculty
Regarding the faculty-to-student ratio, I don't have access to specific data for Ontario Tech University as it can vary depending on the program and the specific year. But this year they had enough faculty members to reach each and every student. And they are easily approachable with a simple email or their office hours.
Campus Life
Ontario Tech University's campus provides modern and well-equipped classrooms, research facilities, laboratories, libraries, and collaborative spaces. There are tonnes of welcoming clubs from cooking to robotics.
Hostel
When it's sharing, it can range from 300 - 500 CAD. Single rooms are around 700-900 CAD.
