Students acquire a foundational knowledge of the basics of business, with a focus on managing people and processes. Courses in economics, accounting, marketing, and human resources lay the groundwork for future careers and further studies. Students acquire skills in managing processes and people. Graduates can enter the workforce or continue studies as the program provides multiple pathways into degree and post-graduate diploma programs.

umber’s Business – Accounting diploma program provides you with a well-rounded accounting education with training in accounting procedures and theory, taxation, business law, information systems, and management. You’ll gain hands-on experience in industry-standard software including Profile (personal tax), Access, Excel, Power BI, QuickBooks, SAGE 50 Accounting (formerly known as Simply Accounting) and SAGE Accpac Plus.

• Any grade 12 English (C) or (U)
• Any grade 11 mathematics (C), (U), or (M)

• Grade 12 English (C or U)
• Any Grade 11 or 12 Mathematics (C, M, or U)
• Minimum of 60% in Grade 11 College or University level Mathematics (MBF3C or MCF3M) 

• OSSD or equivalent, ENG4C or ENG4U, any Gr 11 Math (C) or (U)
• If English is not your first language you must provide proof of English competency.

To be eligible for admission, you must possess the following:

• Ontario Secondary School Diploma (OSSD) or equivalent including these required courses:
• Grade 12 English (ENG4C or ENG4U or equivalent)
• Grade 12 Mathematics (MAP4C, MCT4C, MDM4U, MCB4U, MGA4U, MCV4U or MHF4U) or Grade 11 M or U Mathematics (MCF3M or MCR3U)
• Two Grade 11 or Grade 12 C, M or U courses in addition to those listed above
• or
• Mature student status
• or
• College or university transfer status
• English Language Proficiency
• All applicants whose first language is not English must meet Humber’s English Language Proficiency Policy.
