- Diploma in Electrical Engineering Technician - Industrial degree at the Cambrian College is offered a 2-year (4 semesters) program.
- This program is offered on a full-time basis.
- Through this program, students will gain theoretical knowledge in the areas of installation, troubleshooting, repair, and maintenance of complex electrical machinery.
- Students will also apply electrical safety code and print reading knowledge to commercial and industrial installations.
- In addition, students will be introduced to Programmable Logic Controllers (PLC), power electronics, and instrumentation fundamentals.
- There are some highlights of this program are:
- The electrical lab features industry-standard 600-volt equipment
- Hands-on experience using AutoCAD, PLCs, and instrumentation tools
- Graduates are eligible to apply for the final year of Cambrian's Electrical Engineering Technology program
- This program features an optional, paid co-op directly related to the program of study.
- Students will be required to complete work preparation sessions prior to the work term to help develop an industry-specific resume and effective interviewing skills.
- The teacher to student ratio is 1:17 which helps increase interaction between professors and students.
- Students can get opportunities for experiential learning through clubs and competitions.
- Cambrian College has a community of over 11,000 students, with over 4100 students in eighty full-time programs, and more than 7000 students in nearly 900 part-time programs throughout the three campus sites in Northern Ontario.

- Sample of written work: Student has to write something interesting as their sample essay in the application form.
- Statement of Interest: Reasons or intentions for pursuing studies in this program, including a description of prior experience.
- Two confidential letters of recommendation: Referees (Teachers, guidance counselors, or Professors) should comment on academics and that references should submit along with the application system.
- Proof that students have enough money to support themselves during their stay in Canada.
- Letters of reference or any other documents the visa office tell students to bring.
