Students will learn to plan and schedule operations and organise safe maintenance and repair procedures. Students will develop skills necessary to operate and maintain electrical machinery and electronic control and engine equipment. Maintenance includes testing and detecting faults and repairing them. Students will also learn to manage administration of the vessel including its business, legal and personnel aspects. Other outcomes of the course would include developing skills to perform routine tasks on board a vessel whilst ensuring safe work practices.
