What Students Say
Likes
- Supportive Lecturers: The faculty is not just knowledgeable but also very approachable and encouraging, always ready to guide and inspire new ideas.
- Career Support: The career services team offers great resources like CV workshops, interview prep, and job fairs.
- Focus on Creativity: The program encourages out-of-the-box thinking, which is so important in the dynamic field of digital marketing.
Dislikes
- Limited Campus Activities: There could be more organized events or social activities specifically for digital marketing students to network and collaborate.
- Overlapping Deadlines: Assignments from different modules have overlapping deadlines, which is stressful for us.
Course Curriculum
- The course offers a good mix of theory and practical work. It’s challenging but manageable. We learn digital marketing concepts in-depth, but we also get to work on real projects, case studies, and use industry tools. Overall, it combines both learning the theory and applying it, which keeps it interesting.
- The best part of the course is how relevant the content is to the real-world digital marketing industry. The faculty is really supportive, and the opportunities for practical learning like live projects are great for building skills. On the other side, sometimes the workload can feel a bit intense, with overlapping deadlines. Also, I wish there was a bit more personalized career guidance tailored to digital marketing.
Admission Experience
- I applied to the University of Salford, University of Surrey, Regent's University London, University of Greenwich, and Middlesex University and all the application were admitted,
- University of Salford
- University of Surrey
- Regent's University London
- University of Greenwich
- Middlesex University
I did not receive any rejections.
- I chose the University of Salford because their digital marketing course had all the specific modules I was looking for as a digital marketing student. While the other universities offered digital marketing courses, they didn’t cover the modules I was most interested in.
The admission process at the University of Salford was smooth. I submitted an online application, including academic transcripts, a statement of purpose, and letters of recommendation. As an international student, I had to provide my IELTS scores to demonstrate English proficiency but for an Indian student if you score more than 70% in english in 12th Std you can apply for IELTS wavier. So, i got IELTS wavier. Then after review, I received a conditional offer letter.Overall, my admission experience was smooth and efficient. The university’s admissions team was responsive and provided clear instructions at every step. the university was understanding and accommodating. It felt like a welcoming start to my journey at Salford! - I applied in September intake and modules was the main factor which influenced me the most to take admission in university of salford and i am not at all regretting taking admission in this university. professors are so helpful.
Admission process took 1 month only if you are ready with your all the documents including finance. LOR, SOP, marksheet and etc.
Class Schedule
- there are 2 classes in a day but sometimes 1 class per day. timing of the class changes every 2 months so mostly it is in morning and evening.
- There are total 25-30 student per batch so that professor can give proper attention.
there are 60% of an Indian students in my class
Faculty
- The faculty-to-student ratio in my course is generally 1:25 to 1:30, which allows for a more personalized learning experience. This ratio helps foster good interaction with professors, making it easier to ask questions, participate in discussions, and receive feedback on assignments. It also allows faculty members to give more focused attention to students.
- The teaching methodology is a mix of lectures, hands-on workshops, case studies, and industry guest speakers. This approach makes learning dynamic and ensures we gain both theoretical knowledge and practical skills. I feel well-prepared to enter the job market after completing my course.
- While the faculty doesn’t directly help with finding jobs, they do offer guidance and often bring in guest speakers from the industry for networking opportunities. Some faculty members may use their professional networks to help students with job referrals, especially if you’re proactive and build a good rapport with them during your time in the course.
