What Students Say
Likes
- I loved the course structure and the professors who were teaching the course. I also loved the fact that Brighton is such a creative and cultural city with a very positive environment.
- My course, professors, and the city. The people I met and the experiences I gained in terms of volunteering opportunities that really added to my CV.
Dislikes
- How short the course goes by. Also, the placement team can do a much better job when it comes to providing help for courses apart from business and engineering.
Required Exams for Admission
I thoroughly loved my college experience, it was wonderful in terms of both education and my personal development. The people I met are amazing, I love Brighton as a city and its close proximity to London.
Course Curriculum
My course was very updated and relevant to the current trends and ideas and the arts and museum field. We were given a lot of industrial exposure, including trips to exhibitions, talks with professionals in the industry, CV and resume building.
Faculty
The faculty to student ratio was 1:19. They are extremely learned and very friendly. They made sure that each student was supported and looked out for. We all had personal tutors as well who made sure to help us in any was we required, whether it was mental well-being or difficulty in the course. They were highly approachable and gave feedback that was practical and encouraging.
Campus Life
Campus life is quite chill and since I was a masters student, I didn't have much time to get into too much extracurriculars or clubs. However there's wonderful clubs and they have really cool events. The campuses are very beautiful, have amazing facilities like research rooms, galleries etc.
Placement
Since the economy of the UK is not best right now, I would say it took a long time for a lot of people to get jobs in the museum and are on field. We don't have campus placements.
Accommodation
I went for a private accommodation with a friend in a private rented studio apartment. The rent was 475 pounds for one person including bills like wifi, water, electricity. The university does have its own accommodation and multiple other private accommodation like IQ Abacus etc. which are on an expensive side. Do not forget Brighton is the second most expensive city of the UK, therefore you need to get a part-time to manage finances.
Exams
I took the IELTS exam and scored 8 in it. Apart from that I had to submit a statement of purpose, my school and bachelor's degree certificate. I had to submit an SOP, 2 LORs, a CV. There is an interview process but I did not have one since they were genuinely impressed with my IELTS score and overall application.
Fees
My total tuition fees was 20,000 pounds.
Scholarship
Yes I received the University of Brighton International Scholarship (2021) which is 2500 pounds. I just had to submit a form after getting accepted into the university that confirmed that I was eligible for it.
