KTH One-Year Scholarship

The KTH Royal Institute of Technology provides the KTH One-Year Scholarship to its academically excellent students. The scholarship can be available for the students entering the second year of their master’s program at the KTH. It covers the tuition fee for the second year of a two year master’s programme at KTH.

  • Selection decisions are announced within two to three weeks, post the application deadline.
  • For the year 2024, the KTH One-Year Scholarship applications were open between April 1 to April 15.
  • Scholarships are awarded majorly on the basis of academic grades in the first year of study.

The KTH One-Year Scholarship amount must be used for the payment of tuition fees at KTH Royal Institute of Technology.

Application Process

The application process for the KTH One-Year Scholarship is easy and straightforward. Applicants are asked to apply online using the KTH university portal. The 2024 scholarship applications will be accepted from April 1, 2024 onwards.

The application deadline for the KTH One-Year Scholarship 2024 is April 15, 2024.


Selection Process

The institution has no fixed number of KTH One-Year Scholarships, to be awarded every year. The selection committee generally awards scholarships to students with excellent and consistent academic performance.

Since the scholarship program is for the KTH students entering the second year of their PG program, their academic grades of first-year are considered. All the grades recorded before April 15, 2024 will be evaluated.

In the case of international students, the selection committee also considers the following documents:

  • Undergraduate degree and marks
  • Letters of Recommendation
  • IELTS and TOEFL scores

Shortlisted candidates are interviewed by the University Board on their academic knowledge and their motive on how they wish to utilize the grant. Selected candidates are informed about the results in about two to three weeks after the application has closed.


Grant Details

KTH Royal Institute of Technology is the largest and one of the most renowned universities in Sweden. Through the KTH One-Year Scholarship program, the university is offering its students a chance to manage their finances in the second year of the PG program.

The student applying for the scholarship is required to have achieved outstanding results in the first year of their studies.

The scholarship covers only the Tuition Fees of a two-year Master's Degree Program. The exact amount depends on the choice of course. The scholarship grant can be applied online through a portal. The Application starts from April 1, 2024 and closes on April 15, 2024.
