Moving to the Netherlands to pursue my masters, especially at the UT was probably the best decision of my life. It gave me a strong academic and domain focus, while nurturing my research abilities. Europe is the place to be in if you seek good work-life-balance.

Course Curriculum

10

Excellent research opportunities. Lot of freedom of thought and expression. Ample opportunities to collaborate with the industry as well.

Exams

Test Scores: IELTS or TOEFL, GRE for some programs, bachelors transcripts, letters of recommendation, proof of finance, bachelors dissertation summary. Yes - SOP, LOR (known as a motivation letter in the Netherlands), CV, bachelors dissertation.

Placement

7

Very good! I had 2 offers before graduating (we also have the concept of a masters thesis, that can be conducted like an internship with a company).

Internship

I did my internship with eXate, UK. I also wrote my masters thesis with PricewaterhouseCoopers (PwC), Netherlands). Stipend is around 750-1200 EUR per month. No placements from the university per se. There are career fairs that students have to attend and seek opportunities themselves.

Fees

18000 EUR per annum.

Scholarship

No. You can apply though. There are some deadlines in terms of time. I missed those deadlines.

Faculty

10

Most of the faculty have multiple publications in esteemed journals and also encourage students to pursue research. The classes are very thought provoking and students interact with such work renowned researchers.

Campus Life

Amazing campus (best campus in the Netherlands). UT is known for sports (FC Twente is from here). Lots of students associations as well. Housing on campus is really good!

Hostel

8

Campus has many student houses. Many students opt for this. Some rarely seek private accommodation in the first year.
