- I am studying MSc Pharmaceutical and Industrial Biotechnology at Martin-Luther-Universität Halle-Wittenberg Germany I chose this University and this course because the University focuses more on practical works which gives you extensive experience in research. In future I want to work as Quality Assurance Specialist in Food and Drug industries hence I chose the course.
- Professors , Curriculum and Infrastructure. The exams are quite structured. The research facilities are Best. One can really prosper from this University.
Dislikes
- Sometimes the exams are tough. But if you are well prepared you might tackle them.There are no other bad things about the university. The small drawback for my course I can say is We have to choose between Pharmaceutical and Industrial Biotechnology as majors. But that's fine because if we want the particular topic from other major we can choose them to study attend the lectures and also give the exams.
Best experience. My interests in research and science got boosted after studying in this University.
Course Curriculum
The course is diverse and has many sub topics such as Molecular Biotechnology, Metabolic engineering, System Biology along with that there's the inclusion of Biotechnology of Phototrophic plants. The whole curriculum is best with the top notch Professors. Practicals are conducted in such a way that one can improve analytical techniques. Course is up to date for this modern era! One who wants to work in prestigious companies such as Bayer , BASF one must really think of getting into Martin-Luther-Universität for this course. Also keep in mind that the course is quite tough and needs lot of prep. There's a lot of freedom for this course. Student can decide when to give the final exams every semester. One can decide what to study if they want to attend their favorites modules and give the exams too.
Exams
Ielts minimum 6.5 bands. Toefl and GRE are not mandatory but they might be useful to upgrade our profile.. CV lORs SOP Key points were why we are choosing the university and the specific course. Why we are interested in the particular course? What are the future plans for the career?
Placement
As I said every Professors has their ongoing research in different universities. Hence the students can proceed in those research if interested. Salary ranges from 89k Euros to 100k euros annual
Internship
I'm searching for one .and I'll start internship once my semester 1 gets finished.
Fees
Tuition fees ranges around 250-300 euros per semester. And the travelling charges are also included in the fees. So that the student can access the public transport with the Student Card. Also on that card , students can access the discounts in shops,Libraries printers, travelling and mensa. Also there are part time jobs available which can help students to manage their finances.
Faculty
Students intake are limited. There are not more than 30 students per year. Hence the teaching gets more personalized. The focus is more cleared as the doubts get solved everytime. All the Professors are top notch. Dr.Seifert, Dr.Manish Raorane, Dr. Junker and Dr.Maxmallian Frei are my personal favourites.
Campus Life
Campus life is best. There are so many activities going on Campus. For every new freshers for bachelor's and Masters there are Orientation programmes .Also there are Student wellbeing centres which helps the students if they are facing any problems. There are 2 large libraries for the university which is the best part ever. Studying their really helps. WIFI is also of good range and it works in the market centre too! ????Research facilities are also top notch. Along with that each Professors has their own Research facilities at different universities outside Halle.
Hostel
Accommodation can be found on WG geschut and also there are few authentic sites which would help to find homes. Also University has Dorm facilities. Cost of Rents ranges from 200-500 euros per month.
