McGill University, Food science

I chose McGill university because it has an excellent food science program for undergraduate students. McGill University has the perfect location for me. This is the school my family has always gone to.

Course Curriculum

9

It was a fantastic curriculum. Well structured with a large variety of available courses to study with multi-disciplinary approaches and fields. Great curriculum always for sure at McGill University.

Faculty

8

Very well informed and nice. They had a good PowerPoint presentation for the students and were passionate about teaching their respective subjects in large classrooms.

Placement

9

The placement for full-time employment after the McGill university food science program is ninety-seven percent within three months. This is exceptional and everyone was met with a great opportunity for employment.

Accommodation

Off Campus
7

I always loved in off-campus housing which is what most students do after living in residence off-campus for their first year. These have private or semi-private bathrooms. A single or double bedroom is available.

Exams

None, I came straight from CEGEP in Montreal and did not have to pursue any standardized testing upon application.

Events

10

Every year there is a week-long welcome or orientation or more commonly known as frosh week. There is a homecoming weekend, opening football game, Halloween night parties. End of semester house crawls.

Fees

Depending on the student's origin the fees would change drastically. For in-province residence it is much cheaper.

Scholarship

I did not receive any financial aid. It was allocated by family income for the students I did not meet the requirements.

Examination Structure

Two weeks at the end of each semester with 3-hour blocks for each course. Many classes have long answer questions other intro-level courses are exclusively multiple-choice questions. As the program continues short answer questions are common.
