Course Curriculum
My course for my marketing major is well up to date and gives me relevant industry and practical experience through assignments and lectures.
Exams
Admission requirements for Deakin include IELTS or a standardized English test. 12th class grades. My scores: 7 IELTS and 33 in IB board. There was a phone call interview for the Australian Visa along with a SOP for Deakin. I had to write a SOP then I had to attend a phone call Interview for Deakin and my Australian Visa.
Placement
Top companies of Australia have many Deakin graduates with avg. salary around $50,000-60,000 AUD annually.
Internship
I haven’t done any internships till now.
Fees
Approx. 90,000 AUD for 4 years for a dual degree in Bachelor of commerce/Bachelor of communication (Digital Media).
Scholarship
Deakin Indian merit Scholarship 20%. There was no special requirements for the scholarship.
Faculty
The ratio is one lecturer to every 30 students in seminar and 1 lecturer to every 100-1500 students in a lecture. The teachers are very approachable and reply to phone calls and emails. My professor for my unit brand management Dr.Andrea has left an incredible impact on me.
Campus Life
The campus has clubs for most of the hobbies and the library is full of resources with the best sports facilities and a strong wifi.
Hostel
Deakin has student residences with options of sharing between 2,5 and 6 people along with single units as well. Average rent is around $1250 AUD.
