Eligibility Criteria
Aspirants seeking admission to 2 year Full-time M.Sc Program must have passed B.A./B.Sc.(Statistics) ; B.A./B.Sc.(Actuarial Statistics); B.A./B. Sc.( Triple major with Statistics as one of the subjects in every year); M.A./M.Sc. (Mathematics); B.A./B.Sc.( Mathematics with statistics as a subsidiary subject) with 50% marks (45% marks for reserved category) from a recognized College/University.
Admission Guidelines
Admission through Entrance Examination:
- For the students from Savitribai Phule Pune University, equal weightage will be given to the marks obtained in the entrance examination and the qualifying examination.
- For students from universities/institutes other than Savitribai Phule Pune University, the admission will be made on the basis of marks obtained in the entrance examination only.

- The faculty is very nice and educated and each teacher here in the department is a PhD!
- The lab provides good computers and is accessible anytime in college hours

- The department is very small, it is not that big.
- The batch strength is only 42...some seats don't get filled up
Fees and Financial Aid:
The fees are very minimal being a university and on top of that there are various scholarships which the students can avail through the department which makes the university even economically affordable. Hostel fees are also very minimal....around 2000 per year. The academic course fees are around 20k yearly but scholarships are provided to students who perform well.

The course fee is 25000 per year. We can get scholarships like Rajarshi Shahu scholarship and cycle software company scholarship. Another one is Savitribai Phule Gunvant scholarship.
Course Curriculum Overview:
Subjects in the course are well recommend by the committee. We have got best selected courses like probability, inference,real analysis, matrix algebra.machine learning,time series analysis, regression analysis.If i talk about the industrial exposure we have some companies for placement like cytel,TCS etc. The faculties is very supportive and push ourselves to acchibe best in our lives.The teachers are very highly qualified and very helpful, supporting you wherever you need them. Most of them are good at their teaching content. The course curriculum is decided by the SPPU, which makes you good and strong in your basic knowledge but a little less industry-ready because there is less focus on the need of the hour.About 40% of the students from BCA got placed in 2015 from our college. Top recruiting companies for our college were Wipro, TCS, Xoriant, L&T, Infosys, etc. Roles offered to students depend on the training. We did training for 3 months, and we got application administrator, software developer and tester roles. The lowest salary offered was Rs. 10,000 per month and the highest salary offered was Rs. 15,000 per month. Teachers in our college were good. The Management of the college was decent. The course curriculum was pretty good, but mainly they focus on theory rather than practical knowledge. The curriculum was outdated and not up to the mark. Some teachers were very friendly and helpful.
