Eligibility Criteria
Candidate must have passed 10+2 examination with Physics/ Mathematics /Chemistry/Computer Science/Electronics/Information Technology/Biology/Informatics Practices/ Biotechnology/ Technical Vocational subject/ Agriculture/Engineering Graphics/ Business Studies/Entrepreneurship and Obtained at least 45% marks (40% marks in case of candidates belonging to reserved category) in the above subjects taken together.
OR
Candidate must have passed a diploma in Engineering and Technology) with at least 45% marks (40% for reserved category) subject to vacancies in the First Year, in case the vacancies at lateral entry are exhausted.

Course Details
Intake capacity – 60 / 48 / 90 (in govt and private engineering colleges)
HPTU offers Bachelor of Technology (B.Tech) degree with ten different specializations. Duration of all the B.Tech courses is four years. The college also accepts lateral entry (direct admission in second year) in all the B.Tech courses for which the duration is 3 years. All the candidates with 45% marks in class 12th with Physics and Mathematics as compulsory subjects can apply for B.Tech course under Direct Entry.
For appying under the Lateral entry scheme of B.Tech. program, the candidate should have a diploma/ B.Sc. with at least 45% marks.
Selection:
The admission to the first 50% of the seats shall be made on the basis of merit/rank/score obtained in JEE Main. The remaining 50% seats will be filled up on the basis of merit of Himachal Pradesh Common Entrance Test (HPCET).
The admission to B.Tech 2nd year degree course under Lateral Entry Scheme shall be made on the basis of merit of diploma in appropriate branch conducted by H.P. Takniki Shiksha Board. Provided that if seats under lateral entry scheme remain vacant, the same shall be filled up from the candidates who have passed diploma in appropriate branch of Engineering and Technology from any other recognized University/Board.

The indicated percentage is calculated out of the total marks assigned to the entrance test/examination. For eg, if the total marks in the HPCET entrance test is 100, then minimum of 20 marks for General and 15 marks for Reserved category candidates is to be scored for admission.
- Relaxation of 5% will be given to the applicants belonging to SC & ST category
- For supernumerary seats under B.Tech (Lateral Entry), the candidates with Diploma will be taken first and then the candidates from B.Sc. stream will be considered.

- Things i like is that my college is far from the city have natural enviornment .
- College provides placement for the students who are skilled and deserving

- College does not provide any playground .
- Students does not feel motivated to come to college .
Fees and Financial Aid:
College takes 330000 rs per semster in course of 4 years . College also provide the scholarship based on the marks that you have obtained in previous classes and make it eligible for student who belongs to poor family ,or other tribal caste students . For girls our college only takes 15000 per semster .
Likes
- Very good surrounding view and campus with fresh air
- Faculty is very friendly, supportive and joyful.
Dislikes
- Very less shops in campus and transportation issur
- Food quality in mess is very poor. And no leave is taken is mess
Fees and Financial Aid:
The detailed structure fees for this course is 28000 per semester + 3000 hostel fees. The yearly fees would be approximately 62000 rupees per year along side hostel fees... The mess fees would be 3255 per month as it comes under private tender

- Campus area is very beautiful due to mountains grennery
- Smart classes are provided in every class rooms

- There is very less number of placements ..
- Hostels were near but rented rooms are very far

Here every type of schoolrship is provided category wise..and fees of girls in even sem. Is 9800 or boys 23800 and in odd sem. 28020 fees is for boys and 13020 for girls..and for the students who are from other state will also have scholarship

- The weather and view from the college is very good sundernagar lake and nearby mountains elevates the view
- College canteen is fairly affordable and and has high quality items and prices are also reasonable
Dislikes
- The teaching style of some of the AP's can be a bit subjective
- The college is situated at a height from the main city which results in less options for shops and only 3-4 shops are near without climbing up or down
Fees and Financial Aid:
The fees for the college is pretty good and is paid at starting of the semester either online or by cash The fees for boys is around 32-33k per semester and for girls is half of that and for ph tfw and other candidates with fee waivers is also half of the boys all the fees is covered in it For ph tfw and girls and other fee waivers is around 10k without hostel for hostel is around 3k without one time security of 2k per semester Students can get scholarships to help them financially

Tution fees is average which can be affordable by every family.for girls the fees is half the boys fees .the average four years fees is less than two lakhs . Different scholarship aare given to students
Likes
- Scenic location is a plus point of JNGEC. It is located on top of hill which gives a whole view of the city. It have a really nice weather during winters.
- Infrastructure of this college is really great. Spacious classroom and good facilities.
Dislikes
- Since its located on top of a hill reaching there is quite a hassle. Most people take Autorikshaw to go to college but its not feasible as daily transport.
- It take quite sometime to reach city from college. Eventhough it's distance not that much walking feels exhausting.
Fees and Financial Aid:
Tution fee is quite low compared to private colleges and it gets less and less with new semester. There are a lot of scholarship benifits and fees for girls is also very less. There is also fine for late fees. There are many government schemes and benefits. Campus placement is not that good and it is limited.

- The campus is located near the hills and the place is quite .
- The camps is big with the structures of college is cool
Dislikes
- The elevators doesn't work even the transportation is bad
- The water facility is very bad it is hard to get drinking water because it is a remote area

The fees structure is of about 30000 per semester. Where the amount of funds and other things are fixed. The fees is less as compare to the private colleges. The reservations are also there in fee structure

- The library is also very good and having many varieties of books

- Water cooler of our College is not neat and clean
- Canteen seats are not that much good and food is not sufficient for all students

The fees structure of college is 60000 per semester and the scholarship is given to students is 20000 rupees per semester the complete cost of our College is 60000 including tution fees the college is also providing placements in this College .

- The faculty is very highly educated which are providing the students the quality education they can provide
- The campus life of rgeec is very nice in terms of giving students exposure in the field of note only education but different valuable things
Dislikes
- The syllabus followed by the college comprises of things which are kind of very old that is not providing much newly technology based education to the students
- The enrollment of locals within the college is very disgraceful

In hptu the fee structure is not very complex the feast is quite low in terms of BTech in other colleges hpto ofers many scholarships based on cast tribe creed gender and on the basis of financial terms there are many internships that are provided within the college with which are helpful for the students to strengthen up there qualities and many employment opportunities are also provided by the college

- I like the view that we can see through the campus that is the dhauladhar ranges covered by snow
- this place is pollution free and gives an environment of village away from the city
Dislikes
- the market is not surrounded in the campus we have to go a little bit far away to go to market from the college
- there are many speed breakers in the college path which makes a difficult to even walk
Fees and Financial Aid:
the fee structure of my course that b.tech electronics Engineering is that even some cost the fees about 26000 and the odds and cost about the fees 30000 each and we have to pay 2500 for this and some examinations also college also provides the scholarship for the students who gets qualified in the various scholarships and with provides financial aid for available students
