Eligibility Criteria

Students for admission into the Ph.D. Programs in Science and Management Studies Departments must have a Master degree in the relevant discipline with a minimum CPI of 6.5 (on a 10 point scale) or equivalent (60% of marks). For SC/ST candidates, a minimum CPI of 6.0 (on a 10 point scale) or equivalent (55% of marks).

Course Details

The University offers doctorate level programs as well in almost all disciplines under the Institute. Applications are accepted for these programs in two batches, the first being the July – December batch where applications close towards the end of the month of April.

Course	Specialization	Eligibility	Mode of Selection
Ph.D	Engineering	M.E./M.Tech. or equivalent in an appropriate area with a minimum CPI of 6.5 (on a 10 point scale) or equivalent (60% of marks). At least 8.0 (on a 10 point scale) or equivalent (75% of marks). For graduates from IITs/NITs, the minimum CPI requirement is 7.0 (on a 10 point scale).	Admission will be based on the entrance examination and interview conducted by NIT. CSIR or CBSE NET/JRF qualified candidates will be exempted from the entrance examination
	Science / Management	A Master's degree in a relevant discipline with a minimum CPI of 6.5 (on a 10 point scale) or equivalent (60% of marks).
	Humanities and Social Sciences	A Master’s degree in any field with a minimum CPI of 6.0 (on a 10 point scale) or equivalent (55% of marks).

PLACEMENT: Placement are approximately 90% base on core companies, software and various industries. Also recruitment are based on different reputed college, universities and autonomous bodies for the M. Tech and Ph.D. students. Almost every student has at least one job.

INTERNSHIP: Internship is for undergraduates. We Ph.D. scholar has no need of internship. MHRD used to give stipend for GATE qualified students.
