Course Curriculum Overview

Vlsi design course was recommended to me by my uncle.. my knowledge about this course is very simple its about chips and circuit designing. Course should more focus on the dsd and semiconductors subject rather than maths, physics from 2year

Class Size: 63Course Fees: INR 250000 per year

Fees and Financial Aid

Fees amount is ?2,50,000 which is fair amount for core course but they dont provide any books or record note etc. Everything we have to buy and we have to take printout on our own amount.. thats not a fair one as they receive 2.5lks but they dont provide any books and notes.. the teaching is not upto level, school teachers were better.. they should focus more on making students understand the concept rather than just finishing portions on time and name sake

Campus Life

Their are many clubs in our college it is more effective in both technical and fun aspects. I involved in a fun club which boosts my communication and knowledge in different trending topic in our society's

Admission

I applied to vit, srm and rec universitys i couldnt make as my marks were not upto to level as my physics exams in cbse board was way tough for us.. in my college i was selected through management after my exam results released

Faculty

90 percent staffs just their need is to complete portion on their given time so they rush the portions and syllabus too fast.. rather they should focus on making students understand the concepts and syllablus easily.. staffs moslty target the student if he sits on last row and by their appearance.. that is not a healthy sight.. rather they should focus on how they behave and they speak in class

Night Life

My college does not have a great night life and not advisable to opt hostel. Instead go far a good pg and have fun. Food in my hostel is also very bad. Better not to join this college and opt for any good university.

Placement Experience:

this is where they lie the most , they claim to have placement records of 97% but in reality its just 10%. because of huge student crowd , placing everyone is one big task. the company that comes here for hiring are mostly startups and some lesser known company . branches like mechanical and EEE have it even more difficult time to get placement.the highest package of over college is of 16 lakhs .

Placement Experience:

At VIT Chennai, students become eligible for campus placements starting from their 6th semester, with placement training beginning in the 5th semester. Top companies or recruiters include Amazon, Microsoft, Deloitte, Cognizant, TCS, Infosys, Wipro, PayPal, Bosch, Accenture, and Intel, among others. In 2023, over 900 companies participated across VIT campuses, making more than 12,000 offers. The highest package offered was ?1.02 crore per annum by a global recruiter, while the average package for core placements ranged between ?6-7 LPA, with Super Dream offers exceeding ?25 LPA and Dream offers ranging from ?10-15 LPA. Around 90% of eligible students get placed, with profiles offered in software development, consulting, analytics, and core engineering. After completing the degree, students often pursue roles in top companies, higher studies, or entrepreneurial ventures.

Firstly SRM has a very good placement rate, Campus placements are rightly provided in the campus. It starts from the 5 sem where companies come for providing internships to the students. i was already studied diploma in electrical and electronics engineering so my course selection was based on that. the college which i have studied is 90% is absed on the old theory ony they are teaching the the latest thing. the internal exams will come twice in a semester and based in that your internal mark will upload.

Thriving future for students

Admission process was smooth, I came to this Tamil Nadu engineering councelling. My cutoff is 186.5 out of 200. The college also conducts many scholarship exams which will deduct our fees. There are also entrance exams which help the students to join the college. Application form can be found in the college's official website. The college did many things to the people who are in poverty, many students need not to pay fees to the college because of their high cutoff in their higher secondary. The college conducts admission exams in the time of May and June where students can enroll through online and attend the test. There are a few areas for improvement in admission like, there are a lots of needed to be done by the students who came through councelling. I would recommend to reduce the work not more than that.
