An Honest Insight into My College Experience

The course curriculum at my college is decent but could use improvement. While it covers the basics and provides foundational knowledge, it often feels outdated and lacks alignment with current industry trends. Including more practical, hands-on, and modern topics would enhance its relevance.

There's no placement here in this College.But teachers will personally guide you and show you the roadmap when you get a hometuition.They can prepare you for further studies in future,which book to read,what to do,exam preparations and all.

Students can apply for SVMC, from which they can get Rs. 18000 per year for science majors and 12000 for arts majors.

Infrastructure is old.There's a new building made near the library hall side,that place is good. There's a big playground for play any 6 matches together for a group of 15 members in each matches. Students feel so comfortable wandering around with friends and having fun in college campus.They studies together and there's a college resturant n they make tasty foods in a ln a very low budget. NCC trainers come with troops in the morning before college start and after college before the evening. It's a fun and spending time in such a green field n trees around feels so comfortable.

I had applied to Jalpaiguri AC college, APC Roy Government College other than this college. The Jalpaiguri AC college was to far from my home so I withdrawaled my admission application from there. The APC Roy Government College's cut off was a little too high so my admission was rejected by them. In Siliguri college there is no admission tests, group discussions or interviews. A student can get direct admission by their 10 + 2 marks. It's totally based on merit.

I chose this course because I want to study on this Subject step by step ..first bsc then mca. Basically to talk about my course,there's no upgradation in our laboratory,so don't go for it,but go for it because teachers are good,they are helpful anyways and supportive also..they teach very well when it comes to their personal tuition time at home. If I've to be precise, Prof. Shibaji Kundu and Prof. Prem kr. Jha helped me throughout the course. There are internal examination, Lab tests etc. I really liked the syllabus which the university offered to us, it's close to CSE syllabus. It's a little tough though, not every student passes each semester easily.

The college is situated in proper Siliguri township which makes the nightlife around college very good and delightful. The area is filled with cafeteria, local food shops etc. And if anyone likes to go to clubs, pubs and all there are many pubs and clubs within 5km radius of the college.
