Remarks
MAIT has a pretty interesting image among public and also many people don't know about the college. But apart from that overall aim of every student to join a B.Tech college is to get placed and MAIT provides many opportunities in term of placements and internship (less in term of internships).
Entrance Preview
IPU CET. I didn't apply to many colleges except through IITJEE and IPU CET. I can't remember my score but my rank was around 5500-6200. I also got admission into MSIT through IP university CET. Between MSIT and MAIT I chose MAIT because of the following things. 1. The better overall ranking of college 2. Better placement prospectives. 3. Better programming cultures which I heard from my seniors.
Course Curriculum Overview
In MAIT both courses ie CSE or IT are equally weighted. In my experience, CSE provides with much better course options ie ML, AI, data analytics etc. But IT has much better and helpful teachers although the course content is not that good in my batch, most of the placements were scored by IT students.
Internships Opportunities
No, they don't. MAIT facilitates interviews and calls very few companies to provide internship to students but mostly you have to opt for off-campus ones.
Placement Experience
MAIT has the second best or I can even say the best placements in GGSIPU. At the end of the third year, the placement team calls many companies starting from August. There are many options for students. In total there are at the very least 20-30 companies called every year. Note:- Placement scenario for MAE is pretty limited.
College Events
1. College celebrates their technical festival ie Techsurge every year where there are many technical events and competitions. 2. Mridang is the cultural fest where there are many cultural events too.
Fees and Financial Aid
There is no scholarship/loan faculty that I know of but there are help scenarios for the economically weaker section. Moreover, If a student gets rank among top 20 students in IP university then college provides certificate and cash prizes. Other than that college also provides prizes to students who get colleges name in national competitions.
Campus Life
Campus Life - The campus life is next to none. No interesting activities, no interactive societies or groups in the college. Gender ratio- gender ratio is fine in all the branches except MAE branch. Talking about diversity there are not many abroad students I suppose there are none but students also attend the college from different states of the country.
Hostel Facilities
Although I didn't take hostel as I live in Delhi. MAIT provides hostel facility to students who live outside of Delhi. MAIT doesn't have any hostels for girls and just directs them to get on outside the college. Although the college does have a boys hostel it has very limited rooms and the facilities are not that great. The student life although is average I suspect.
Alumni/Alumna
MAIT has a yearly batch of 900 students and approximately 180 students per branch. Everyone here can build contacts in the course of 3 years. In my experience seniors were very helpful. Many seniors helped me to get through many decisions be it in terms of exams or internships.
Admission
The first step to get into MAIT is to give the CET after that when we get the rank there are 3 rounds of ranking. When you get the rank you can give out the list of colleges of your choice. After selecting colleges you are shortlisted on the basis of rank in different rounds. Later there is only one round where you go to college fill forms and give the fees.
