Remarks

The admission process was via an entrance exam called ICET (Indira Common Admission Test). For admission, both the scores of ICET and the 12th marks were considered. There were in total 3 merit lists, once the merit list was displayed we had 3 days to confirm admission for the corresponding course by paying some nominal fee.

Course Curriculum Overview

4

I choose this course because it had both, technical subjects and a few subjects related to business management. So, as I was interested in the business and technical field, I found this course perfect for me. The faculty was good, most of the faculty that taught us had done their masters and some of them had also completed their PHD. So I personally found the faculty to be great. Due to covid some of our exams were delayed and that was something which I didn't like.

Placement Experience

4.5

The placement season generally gets started by the end of the 4th semester. Deloitte, TCS, Accenture, Capgemini, Cognizant, Infosys, L&T, and Xoriant were some of the companies that visited our campus for placements. Before the start of a placement, there were various sessions conducted related to aptitude. Most of the companies offered packages ranging between 2.5 to 3.5 lakhs. More than 70% of students that appeared for placement had gotten the placement.

Fees and Financial Aid

The fee structure was almost similar for all the 3 years of the course. On average, it was 48000 Rs. per year. Apart from the fees we also needed to pay additionally for the exam which was around 2000 per semester. There was no scholarship for the general quota, so I didn't get one. But if anyone had an issue with paying fees we could contact our faculty and they would help us with the same by allowing us to pay in multiple instalments.

Campus Life

4.5

Our batch did not get the opportunity to completely enjoy campus life, due to covid. But with all the time I had, it was a great experience. There's an annual fest called Gusto which is a 3-day event with many activities being conducted. The good thing is, students are given the opportunity to lead the events like from getting the sponsors to all the decorations, from getting participants to conducting events. This event provides a great opportunity to learn and also this is a great time to be on the bunk. Apart from this annual event, there are multiple events like quizzes and seminars that are being conducted every month. We also have a good sports room and basketball court where we can chill. If you are interested in social service then there are clubs for that too. The NSS (National Service Scheme), and Rotract Club are the clubs that conduct many social activities every month. Also, there's this 7 days camp that is conducted every year by NSS which gives a great experience to everyone involved.

Placement Experience:

Students become eligible for campus placements from 7th semester. But they should not have any backlogs and should maintain a minimum of 60% academic performance and minimum 75% attendance. The common companies visited are - HDFC bank, ICICI bank, Kotak Mahindra bank, Axis bank, Infosys, Wipro, Amazon, Flipkart, Google, Godrej, The highest package overall was 51.36lpa for msc blockchain technology. In my course the highest package was 12-15lpa and average package is 6-7 lpa for new graduates. 85-90% students get placed and rest opt for higher studies. After getting the degree I would pursue MBA in USA or UK.
