Remarks

This is a world renowned 200 year old university. The economics department is amazing and has produced 2 nobel laureates till date. The faculty is verg helpful. Placements after post graduation is quite good.

The course curriculum is one of the best un the state, if not the best. Academics is quite good. Faculty is quite well trained and helpful. Plenty of guest lecturers come to the department to teach the students.

There are a lot of societies,like the drama society, debate society, quiz society. Each of them organises regular events. There are 2 college freshers apart from the departmental fresher's. And if there is a union in the college, there is one more union fresher's.

Campus Life

Yes, we have wifi facilities. The sports infrastructure however is in shambles and in dire need of a thorough revamp. There are 2 well stocked libraries. I am however unaware of the condition of the labs as I do not work in them.

Hostel Facilities

Yes. The girls' hostel is quite good. 4 people share one room. Meals are quite shitty. It is located in salt lake. The boarders will get 1 bed, 1 table and 1 lamp each. In case someone does not stay in the hostel, a lot of PGs available in colllege street at a walking distance from the campus.

As I have financial issues and am unable to get a admission to regular college I thought if I completed my graduation from a distance college it would help but after getting admission here I realized why people avoid this college and get admission to a reputed institution. Should you enroll in my college?

I wanted to enroll in BA English Hons course and I got the seat here. Compared to other colleges fees of this college is a little less and they don't even care for your attendance. You just can appeare during the times of exams only and they'll be like.. ok it's fine unless you have paid full fees. Since I'm have given my 12th during 2020 the exams were cancelled and we all got our marksheet without writting a single letter but in the basis of 10th and 11th marks which is 100% unfair, because of that I couldn't clear the cutoff of better colleges....Read More
