Course Curriculum Overview

5

The new proposed curriculum is great. It will come into action now. It focuses more on practical knowledge rather than cramming everything. Exams happen every year and students who clear them move onto the next year.

Placement Experience

4.5

There is no stipend till now. Although new rules say that it will be compulsory, great news for coming batches. Internship is great. There is a lot to learn for those willing. Overall the experience and the satisfaction is amazing.

College Events

3.5

February and March have college fest Padmanjali. Which is great. A mox of both traditional and formals. Next up every alternate year in Inventum Conference. A lot to learn there too. Around September there is Ganesh Festival starting on Sthapna and ending on visarjan.

Fee Structure And Facilities

For me the fees was 745000 per annum. Now it is 1300000 per annum. It looks a lot but if you compare it with the fees other colleges charge, this looks better. But the infrastructure is great, so no complaints.

Fees and Financial Aid

I don't know any scholarship but those belonging to low income families, do get some benefits only if they score great. Otherwise there is nothing else. Loans will typical loans the banks provide.

Campus Life

5

Sports are amazing. Our college has one main grounds that hosts cricket and football matches. Two basketball courts. One tennis court and one volleyball court. There are badminton courts too. The labs are great with adequate materials to use. Especially the central lab where all the medical investigations are done.

Alumni/Alumna

Yes, they are help although there havent been many alumani meets but still, they are in touch with the administration department and help whenever needed. Medical is one profession where one is always in touch with senior doctors. They help you learn a lot.

Admission

I gave an entrance exam. Based on the score I got, there was a merit list that was prepared. Counselling dates were scheduled for respective merit slots. There were 110 Merit seats and 15 NRI seats. After 110 seats were filled, people were put on waiting list.

Faculty

4.5

The faculty is great and very helpful. First year teachers mould you into someone great and prepare you well for the coming years. Final year teachers give you a proper knowledge about the clinics and relative theory.

The course is standard for all MBBS courses. There are theory lectures and practical classes. Hospital exposure begins in the second year onwards. Current revisions in the course like introduction of logbook etc are unnecessary and time consuming.

Course Curriculum Overview:

MBBS is definately a tough course. along with being tough, it also puts some responsibilities on your shoulders as you will be treating real people with real problems in the real world as you complete this course. while studying, students should focus more on 'why' and 'how' type questions than 'what' type of questions. the major exams are conducted in 9 semesters . each semester is of 6 months + 1 year of compulsary internship.

Course Curriculum Overview:

The current curriculum is comprehensive based curriculum. Here practical knowledge is more important than bookish knowledge. So now spending more time in wards is of greater importance. Exams are held accordingly - 2 internals, 1 prilims and 1 University held by MUHS. Each exam is followed by practical examination. This curriculum will help to build good doctors rather than bookish doctors.
