Maths has been one of my favourite subjects and I always y to my career in maths. In Xavier's College there are a total of 5 professor for maths who have done their MSc and have been working in this college for the past few years. Their teaching is very good. They use various methods for teachings like using PowerPoint presentation and blackboard to giving real-life example to make the concepts very clear for students. There are revision lectures conducted for students. Also before the exam there are doubt sessions in which a student can clear his/ her doubt. For a year college conduct 2 semester in which each semester has 3 exams for a course. There is two continuous internal assessment for twenty marks each and one last semester for sixty marks each. At the end of the semester, all the mks are added and the final score is revealed. The exams are a bit difficult to challenge students intellectual skills but students are trained for such exams that they don't find difficult or stressful.

I wanted to pursue NEET for which I chose Bsc in zoology and biology. Dealing with insects and plants in real life helped me understand the curriculum in a very well manner. It did help me gain intrest in that field More focus on average students should be included. The exams have 3 times a year: Continuous internal assessment 1 Continuous internal assessment 2 Both of the above are for 20 marks each and then a semester exam for 60 marks which concludes for 100 marks in total. All exams have atleast a month and half or two months gap.

Specific aspects of choosing the course was the love and passion towards nature and plants with environment. The faculty and students should allowed to play all together and try to spend time with each other. In this way a student and faculty will have a good bonding and connection. The area of improvement in course curriculum and teaching methods are very good and likely to get better. The frequency and timings of exam along with perspective on their difficulties level are moderate level and provide each types of questions and try to solve each question with little amount of answers correct.

The syllabus of the course is a little vast as it covers a wide range of topics. But it is well up to date and includes topics such as recent discoveries and the latest techniques used in the field etc. Due to the ongoing situation we didn't get to visit any industrial areas, but there were visits scheduled. The previous years batch did visit a couple of industries and also got to carry out their internships at some of them. The faculty is really good and do their best to give us the best learning experience.

How is the course curriculum of Bachelor of Science [B.Sc] (Information Technology) in St Xavier's Mumbai?

I decided to choose this course because i thought AI and IT would be the future of the plnet as technology goes on advancing. the course does prepare you well enough to face real world applications but even you have to put in the hard yards by innovative thinking and creating something extraordinary. the course has a lot of scope for improvement espically in the area of learning and teaching. the subjects have a very limited time to master which is very difficult to cope up with and also it doesnt go in detail of every subject. instead have a course where students select their strong subjects and focus on it entirely. choosing subjects or finding out which subject is he/she strong in can be quite frustating at times. The exam timings and its pattern is fine where you get 2 unit tests and a final semester paper and you require overall 40 marks out of 100 to pass.
