What are the key factors that keep you connected with the education sector?

Education is the foundation of someone’s future and it is a profession where you can see the impact that you are having on the society around you. You also get to grow with your students; as they learn, you learn, too. Even in education, I chose the medical field because saving someone’s life and treating someone’s wounds is a work of God. There aren’t many professions out there that allow for that.

How do you establish a healthy relationship between students and faculty?

A healthy environment requires mutual respect among students and faculty. For that, we make sure extracurricular events are organised in the institute so that students get to interact with faculty even more and teachers are friendly towards students so that they are available.

What are the changes you have seen in education from last 10 Years?

There has been a lack of determination these days, which used to be among the students. Previously, students were less digital but more focused on their careers and future. Nowadays, students think they’re smarter and hence they are full of overconfidence, which results in their decline. There is more reliance on technology for education and careers, and not much is being done on hand.

What are the greatest strengths of your institute?

Our institute is one of the best nursing institutes nearby, as we provide quality education at affordable fees. We have experienced faculty here and at OPD so that students can groom their practical skills as well. We have hostel facilities as well as many students here from outer regions and not local so we make sure we provide a homely environment here.

How is your Institute more welcoming to students of different races or economic background?

Scholarships are provided as per government norms; however, we have kept our course fees affordable and genuine. We have done so because we get many admissions from rural areas where students are not financially strong. Also, we break up the fees for the needy into instalments so that they can pay the complete fee without burdening the family.

What are your views on the scope of the Nursing over coming years?

The government is planning to build at least one major hospital in each of India's 761 districts and hence, requirements for nurses will increase in the coming years. As a profession, it will never have a downfall or slow down. India is the most populated country and because people follow easy and unhealthy lifestyles, nurses are always required.

Any advise for the upcoming students who’re in school?

Memorising means finding ways to remember and repeat facts. Understanding goes a little deeper and means you can apply new knowledge to various scenarios. Moreover, know how it relates to other concepts. College exams often test understanding, not just memorization.
