I had been influenced by Amity counsellors to take admission and that, but their offering me online courses which I am. I'm not interested in, but forcefully they are telling me to take that course with an online mode and I'm not, I'm not ready for that and the places which I have, applied for were very far from my place, and my parents are not allowing me to send me those far places, so Ranchi was the best place where I could study and meet my parents to whenever I need and want to meet them the only thing which I regret about being in Ranchi is where I live as far from the college now, planning to shift my hostel from that place to near my college

There are entrance exams for admission. I chose this college because it is closest to my house. I had applied to Doctor Shyama Prasad Mukherjee University and for JCECEB exam as well but because they kept on postponing the admission process, so, I went to St. Xavier's College.

This was the only college I could apply for as pursuing this course was a last moment decision for me due to my family who wanted me to pursue Btech. There's a certain minimum criteria marks of 60% to appear for the entrance test organised by the college. The difficulty level of the exam is somewhat equivalent to that of the International English Olympiad. The college does not conduct any interviews for admission after the entrance tests. The entrance test score solely determines the admission possibility. There are no direct admissions no matter how high a percentage one has in the 12th board exams.
